Hi Mike,

Thank-you for the details. There seems to be some wobble as you
mention. The xfmr on the input evidently did not fix it.
Perhaps there is a ground loop or arcing.

I'll continue to try to locate the chirps & fuzzies.

Joe (VO1NA), last night (27.28 Sep) your sigs were very good when I
switched on at 2305UTC and received "NA" very clearly. Then you sent
"RDI" which had some frequency wobble. This was followed by a deep
fade (or switch off at your end?) From 0100 I received several
complete calls but very weak with fading. At 0515 (my dawn) the
signal improved for your "GN" and most of what I assume was "SK" but
fadeout occurred before the final dash. Overall, much poorer than the
previous day. Interesting,

I think it might have been feedback. I put a transformer between
the driver and the decca to solve the problem. Mike's report of
no chirp was received with much jubilation!

Thank-you gentlemen.
