Yes Stefan, it was the right time.
Last evening I was transmiting WSPR on the 160 m band, using 5 Watts EIRP.
Exactly the same best time to VK.
The extra tranmitting EIRP losses from 160m to 2200m may be expect around
-25 dB (with the same TX output power and using a quite well done amator
antennas for each of the two bands).
On the way, very little chance for "the signal comes
back before his sunrise". I had extended test in the years 1980 with two
VK6 stations on CW 160m (over 200 QSO). At this second possible time of
propagation, we had always around 1 to 2 S point below the leved received when I
was in the evening, before the dark night.
Regards. F6CNI Andy.

Subject: LF: LF tonite and traces in VK7!
Hi all,
there are some weak traces on Edgars LF grabber
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/101251787/testIDC.html Not clearly
readable but clear traces in one line on the right frequency and to the
right time. Maybe the signal comes back before his sunrise :-)
Tonite i'm running DFCW-90 on 136.172 kHz again. It's a long time
ago.
Reports welcome. Someone joins in?
73, Stefan
