Hello all,
Dispite ongoing static Joe's signal could be spotted easily.
See atatchment, which is a nice example of RF generated Modern Art.
The static raised the noise floor from 12 (light green) to 18 dB
(orange). See atatchment.
Linrad has a feature to shut off demodulation during playback, which
speeds up the waterfall considerable. This 4 hour 30 minute playback
took just 8 minutes. It is made from a 50 GB IQ recording covering
150 - 650 kHz. It was fascinating to watch see Joe's signal appear
from the noise.
I will shift the frequency of the recording down 50 kHz to include
the 136 kHz ham band. This way every signal between 100 kHz and 600
kHz can be analyzed later on without the need to park the receiver
on a specific frequency.
Best regards,
Roelof
