Cesare I5TGC is an avid homebrewer, and he managed to erect a quite efficient LF / MF antenna on limited space. Take a look at his 472 kHz gear and his 400 W tube amplifier on his homepage:

Mal, there is I5TGC in DFCW3 on 476.150 kHz. I'm right now in QSO. Also there is much QRSS activity in that range, SV8CS and SV3DVO QRV regularly. But it's still a bit early for that path i guess...
