Very neat! Schematics anyone? 73 es GL Pete M0FMT IO91UX From: IZ7PDX Luigi D. <[email protected]> To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, 2 October 2014, 0:06 Subject: Re: LF: Opera to be available in the U3 Ultimate 3 Transmitter Kit My U3 are already working in OPERA mode with the Pc! :-) The challenge will be to use them in WSQ2 mode or JT9-x connecting directly to a pc keyboard! However, they are a great Tx on all bands, also as a driver of Pa. Inviato da iPhone Its just one of modes offered by
the U3 Pete
.. and with the DDS gives
direct RF drive on all bands to vhf
G0MJI is running Mixed mode beacon now using
the U3 beta test version Opera 8
and WSPR2 now on 477 ,
changes mode and qrg alternatively
same as the wspr-15 OP31 on 136 [
Op31 = OP32 with bit chopped off
the end ... still works though ]

Transmitter Kit But why not build a G4JNT PIC OP
encoder to key a simple GW3UEP tx all for less than a tenner down at Maplin?
Like what I did.

The Opera system is
now available , as part of the embodied data modes
in the U3 Ultimate 3 Transmitter Kit
The beta test
version , ran by G0MJI on 477 KHz produced
reliable decodes with G4WGT and G6AVK 306
Kmt ,
This will be of
interest to fixed beacon keepers , the U3
provides direct RF drive on the defined QRG
, a later version will extend the
coverage to VHF
Upload of the latest
version expected in the next 1 or 2 weeks
