Hi Stefan, all,

In the past I used the ADuM1100 to isolate some instruments on a sailing boat.
And I was surprised that the GPS receiver losed the satellites...
Examining with a spectrum analyzer I saw spurious from abt 600 MHz to more than 2 GHz spaced abt 3 MHz...
It was the ADuM causing the QRM at 5 meters up to the GPS antenna !
Now perhaps the defect is fixed with the new references...
As a precaution verify the WiFi link (and GPS if present) when the ADuM works... :)

Hi all,

We all know the problems with QRM on the VLF/LF/MF devices in combination with computers. Sometimes even with good grounding, adding loads of common mode chokes, some QRM remains.
At work i just jumped over that device: ADuM4160

I can very well imagine there are many of you (as well as me) who would benefit at least a bit when using that device.

Worth to play with?

PS: Maybe be used in combination with an ADuM5000 as shown in this image: http://www.dajac.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/adi_usb_isolator_4160_circuit.png if that doesn't add QRM again...
