Stefan, will you continue to send DFCW 90
tonight? I could join in 0.5 Hz above you for a few hours. Folks, put your
grabbers up ;-)

current...)
...well after going through several billion
cycles the FETs must have aquired a bit of routine ;-) Guess they've become a
bit like old friends, and I'm sure you take care that you won''t loose one of
them ;-)
All the best,

Hi Markus,
Yes, Jay picked it. A good surprise. OP32
is about 100 Hz lower in frequency, maybe this is more promising ;-) About
the reactive load: If i just run half of the antenna current, the PA has no
problems. BTW i somehow feel that the MOSEFTs become better by the time, they
somehow know now what they have to do (frequency, di/dt, peak current...)
:-)

Stefan,
ah, that explains it! I was wondering why your
fieldstrength had dropped after you went up the
band, thinking that my RX calibration had somehow gone haywire.
Hope your PA doesn't mind the reactive load! Maybe you could temporarily
reduce the coil inductance by half a percent, eg. by inducing eddy
currents in a metal sheet beneath it. Or (perhaps less lossy) insert an 80 nF
series capacitor.
Anyway it looks like Jay has picked up your "QRP" signal
already!

Thanks Mike.
Obviously my TX power is about 6 dB lower
because of a temporary metallic construction near the antenna, which brings my
variometer to the lower end, i.e. the maximum resonance frequency below
137.610 kHz. :-( Thus my DFCW is not affected but WSPR-15 is QRP as
you can see :-( Good luck anyway :-) 73, Stefan

Re: LF: Re: Anyone there?
Hi all,
I've just started my WSPR-15 transmissions
for this night but was a few seconds to late. So the first slot will be
22:30 UTC. Will someone join to LF?

Dave, following your notice I
reactivated the WSPR-15 receiver, though I have little hope of
catching Robert's signal in my noisy location. But Tom 'HUH
appeared on screen so the setup still seems to work.
Jay, yes I've made a habit of looking at your LF
grabber, and noticed that you've been picking up Stefan's
transmissions quite well. The weather is now getting a bit
more quiet here with less thunder, so I hope to join in again
soon.
Thanks both for your replies!

Markus
I'm still here ...
Yes, I've been keeping an eye out for
Stefan when he fires up 'Deutschland World
Service' and broadcasts in time slots favorable to the
west ;~)

...no mails
for a couple of days - just the usual summer hole, or has
Blacksheep gone offline?
Nice
DFCW activity from DK7FC every evening, apparently aiming for Tasmania
again. Bombastic signal, as always :-)
Wishing
everyone a nice summer,
