web sdr  using  , low ish price, , compact  sdr  and  mini  whip ..  any  one  used  this   100K > 30 MHz   [ vhf possible ]  sdr ?

A question,

 

Starting  at the  £5  dongle  rigged  for  direct  sample , as a  cheap  effective  starting  point   

 

A pre amp and  pre - selector [ band pass filter ] would  help  for  lf/mf

 

What  would  be  in a scale  of  increasing  performance  [ not  cost !]

be seen as   reasonable in terms of  configuration  and  hardware  ?

 

Any particular equipments  stand out   as  good  cost/performance   choices ?
