Stefan;
Was seen on Austin Texas grabber last night weakly though.  No skywave that I could detect.  I will put amp meter in line and let you know.  Looks like 800 Wts about it.  Am going to try some of your "corona proofing" and maybe get to KW.
Still have work to do on amp. Tuned input to raise efficiency for starters.  Harmonic output from solid state driver getting eaten in tube pi net and could be better output with tuned input.
Coil is 2500' of #14 enameled [fomvar] copper solid wound on one 4' X13"  PVC pipe-will send you pix.
Will keep you posted as to what goes on-Bob

Hello Bob, Warren, Dex, Jay, Jim, Laurence...

Congrats to that special grant to transmit on the higher VLF and low LF. Hopefully you will make a TA detection in that range. The TF3HZ VLF grabber may be a good challenge!
Maybe QRSS-120 is a bit optimistic but you/we will see :-)

Bob, can you show us a photo of your VLF loading coil? How much current are you getting with that 800W RF power?

Good luck and fun.

73, Stefan/DK7FC

PS: So far i cannot monitor the range above 24 kHz regularly. I'll wait to see what distance you can make and will do some modifications to the setup then.

Jim;
Should be great for next year.  I can see that it's not easy to put out a good signal on VLF!  Don't know if you'll see me in Arizona until I get up to full power.  Need bigger mica cap and then can get another 3 db.  I see limit though going to be around 800 watts RF power as voltage builds up to over 30 KV quickly as approach 1 KW!.
Will wait to see if you get even a trace tonight-I'll be on till 0600 or so and tomorrow again-73, Bob

Bob,

I’ll be monitoring your frequency continuously in Arizona, starting at 0700. Will you be on overnight?

Barring conflicts, I’ll put an Arizona grabber online next week, including a window for your signal.

The following week, barring conflicts, I will put a grabber online in Virginia, including a window for your signal..

I’m planning to have TX operational in both locations, in March.  TX and RX equipment is onsite and operational but TX equipment needs adjustments.
