your long carrier this morning has produced a fine dash on 8270.005 Hz in my 63 uHz window. Paul Nicholson reported a steady phase around midnight.
 
Unfortunately my VLF preamp failed for a few hours this afternoon, but is back again since 22 UT: http://df6nm.de/vlf/vlfgrabber.htm .
 
Regarding castle mode, I don't think it will be very effective for this type of weak-signal work. Also the feedback PLL will only be able to correct a single frequency.

Somehow, I don't receive my own messages via the reflector.
Still no mail (2 missing) here, but that one from U did arrive here prompt ?!?!?!?!?!
 
But..... I think you have to figure out a mode that produces a bright level like A0 mode (contunue key down).
Last night's broadcast trace was lilluminated my dekstop surface :-)
 
This castle mode is recognizable because all the pixels are at the same frequency (straight line),
but the "random noise pixels" have the same brightnes...
 
Perhaps slow down to 4 hour per dash or so ???

I tried, or better, I am still trying SpecLabs Castle in mode phase contr PLL.
now on the air without phase control in Castle ca one hour per dash.
