Hi Graham,

We can always hope, but it took a long time to get 137 so I doubt
we'll see anything this season. Oh well -- its back to the opera
and more fun on 137 in the mean time.

Subject: LF: Update on 630m in Canada

On Thursday, Industry Canada posted the comments received regarding the proposal to grant 472-479 kHz to amateurs. All comments were favourable but one from a plc proponent. The negative submission was substantiated largely by dramatisation, conjecture and outright inaccuracies and cited the unfortunate FCC decision to deny 137 kHz to our American peers.

We can hope that reason will prevail and that the new band will soon
become available to Canadian amateurs.
