OPDS T/A enthusiasts

Stefan, here's my copy from last night. Missed the first transmission not knowing you were on the air. John managed to snag the earliest transmission and one more decode late in the morning.

2013-10-18 04:29:01 DK7FC 6099km 137559.915Hz 14mHz -41.7dBOp 39% 15.2dB

2013-10-18 03:09:15 DK7FC 6099km 137559.915Hz 4mHz -39.2dBOp 69% 16.0dB
2013-10-18 02:29:23 DK7FC 6099km 137559.915Hz 2mHz -46.0dBOp 100% 16.8dB

Yes, I have the same question as to why OPDS32 s/n levels were so low ... as compared to WSPR15 the night before with essentially the same conditions. One never knows if conditions are identical or not ... that is why John and I ran our OP vs. WSPR tests last season 'heads up' both modes transmitted and received simultaneously. If you recall WSPR won.

Might be interesting to try OPDS8. On the WSPR15 captures the night before I noticed a fair amount of QSB on many of the 15 minute time slots.

The only true test of competing modes would be a 'heads up' competition with both modes transmitted and received simultaneously on the same setups.
