Alan,
Yes close in , it will be deeper , notably
the signal levels -23 and -24 are
very close , those levels are the average
along the 4 min time line , we dont have
the actual plots , those are only
available at the local station
In the case of op32 the 'dots'
are referenced to -35 dB s/n ,
hopefully there will be some long
range decodes in the near future , if the
decode stations could post the plots , that would be
useful

Hi Grahan that would seem to follow the fade at
300mi is probably due to groundwave. This is a lot weaker at 1000mi and the
skywaves are relatively stronger. The depth of the fade is a function of the
strength of the two paths whose relative phase is changing. If the amplitudes
are equal then there is a total "wipeout" ....I guess 10% fade says one path is
20dB stronger than the other.

Long range DX 1000 miles , has less
Fade than short 330 miles , ?

New data added to the web linked reports
as well , this showing 10% of the signal
was 'not decoded' and at -24 dB
would support a ROS-MF-2
'rtty' qso

New Version OPERA , with FADE / Time line recording
Latest version provides a graphical indication of
the QSB/Fade on the signal along the time
line
with a % Fade indicated for each
decode , all other functions remain as
previous issues
there is no change to the Tx format
There seems to be a problem using IE
to download at the moment , FireFox or
Chrome are 'ok'
