er G.    You might want to check for arcing, tracking, or melting within the box....LF/MF generates pretty high voltages  :-))

After finding  the  HF tuner  was  loading  5  feet  of wire  + coil to  the  base of the  insulator , and the  main Ae  was  not  actually  connected 
 
This is  20  watts , end  fed  to  the  40  ft vertical , no  top  loading , -14dB /  -15 dB  s/n ,  but lots of  volts  at the  feed  point ..
 
100% tx  at the  moment
