Henny,
Another nice capture! (22-10-2013, attached). Is your time stamp of 5:21:54 in UTC, or local time? Is 5:21:54 on the right edge of the image?
To answer the above question, I tried to use your capture from 17-10-2013 (also attached) as a reference (it has a time stamp of 07:36:59), because Bob tended to switch off around 0600 UTC, but Bob’s switch-off seemed to line up with 0700 on your image, which I believe is not your local time at 0600 UTC.
I tried to line up characters between your grabber, and Mike’s and Hartmut’s grabbers, but my guesses gave offsets of tens of minutes in the characters. Does the time stamp (5:21:54, 07:36:59) line up with a part of the screen slightly to the left of the right edge, perhaps?
The reason that I’m asking is that on Sunday night, the differences between WG2XRS/4 and WG2XRS/5 signals on your grabber and Mike’s and Hartmut’s grabbers showed very interesting propagation differences. I thought that the group might be interested in seeing this graphically. Yesterday I prepared a Mathcad plot for the group, showing estimated signal strength (normalized) over time, for XRS/4 and XRS/5 signals on your grabber and Mike’s and Hartmut’s grabbers, and I am ready to distribute the plot, but I would like to line up the plots on the time scale before I distribute to you and Bob, Mike, Hartmut, Joe and the group. There is something particularly interesting about propagation on Sunday that is easiest to show with a plot of all the RX results for both TX signals.
Thanks for all of the great grabber plots!
Apologies, I removed the attachments because this message did not go through with attachments; I will send them separately (the attachments are from Henny’s messages on 22-10-2013 and 17-10-2013).
73,
Jim AA5BW
