Such cutting edge advanced software should certainly be able to make that known ... no? Guess you'll just have continually wonder whether the transmitter and receiver here are actually up and running or just in test mode.
 
BTW, there's a nice spot to the left of the tune switch for a reporting on/off switch. Maybe it takes a software author with a Nobel prize to determine this would be a worthwhile feature.
