If I understand Alex correctly he is using a series of well engineered semi-loops with 3 sides elevated low loss loop (15mm diameter aluminium) and one side earth electrodes. Results certainly confirm that it works well. 

In my case I managed 250km on 136kHz WSPR with just 10-12W from the PA (low uWs ERP) with just the earth electrodes and virtually no loop in the air at all. I am CONVINCED that the structure Alex is now using is worth more investigation as he has clearly demonstrated how effective it can be.

I have 2 ants now: WsLoop and EsLoop

Height above ground are 8-18m and far point of EsLoop is abt 22m
I believe sLoop is semi-Loop or semi-earth Loop :-)

Russian power's limitation on LF is 100w Output now :-(
... but soon the Russian authorities of communication will allow  1W ERP - I'm pretested here
I have now abt 200w Output in W/EsLoop - currents in ant are 2.6A(W) and 3.6A(E)
