OK Marcus
Well , the auto placement only works
with SDR or Audio drive , for the Yuma , I
don't think its possible ..
>>>> but use RX and
then net the Yuma to the selected audio
tone + 136,000 Hz ? would give similar
result ? <<<
have to use c-timer or spec-lab to
measure the sound-card out-put ?
Early test versions did give audio tone
, but that's something that is needed for
a beacon rx only version , for fixed
beacons , to give true frequency
reading / off sets .....

Hi Graham,
Spiros,
I don't think Spiros' electrical antenna would
have significant directivity. The reason for the missing reports from
east Europe is most likely Loran interference on his TX frequency 137550 Hz
(as mentioned as "dial" in his earlier email).
All stations of the Russian Loran chain (GRI 8000)
emit discrete spectral lines on multiples of 6.25 Hz. These are already
significant here in Germany, and would be much stronger further east. In Western
Europe,
the relevant chains are Lessay (GRI 6731) and Sylt (GRI
7499). Line frequencies which should be avoided appear on exact integer
multiples of 50000/GRI.
If you used Opera's
automatic TX frequency selection it would probably evade those
lines which are visible at the TX location, but it knows nothing
of those in distant potential target areas.
BTW it would be helpful if the Op system
reported actual receive frequencies and not only "meters band" along with
time and SNR.

Markus (DF6NM)

Ok Spiros
I was 'ok' till I got
to 40 mtr vertical ! , 120
feet ! that would explain why !
Glad , the Op system is working
for you

Hi Graham.
My output PWR on YUMA is 50W
RF.
The antenna is a 3 parallel wires 28.00 m
long (50cm distance between wires) and aprox 40m Vertical.
Marconi “T” type antenna.
Tnx

Good results Spiros !
What is the RF Power ? ,
do you think you have a directional Ae
?
