Following my experiments 10 days ago, Bernie G4HJW has been using a 30m baseline earth-electrode antenna on 472kHz recently to good effect. On the WSPR database he has been using G4HJW/1 to distinguish use of the earth-electrode antenna from G4HJW (using the Marconi).

Although I have not analysed Bernie's results, I think he is getting very similar results to me. His best DX with it, and about 6dB more power than I was using, is GM4SLV at just over 900km last time I checked.

Another local G4KPX has been using an indoor magnetic loop against his bedroom wall with 1W RF into it and getting results from all over the place.

It is worth trying novel MF antennas!
