KT66    was the  other  valve  I was  thinking  about   .........any of those   tubes  are  big  £ these days

Tubes  are  ok,  my   skanti  trp5000   has   2 x  4cx250-b   with  round   2KV   on the  plates  , but  those are  a  fragile  compared to   813 still  benefit   from  proper  matching   , but  6146  where  also  not  to  rhobust   ,   807  do  well  but  with   20  watts  anode  dis , not  too  high  power

note on a posted  photo  , 807  should be  mounted  vertically  and  through  the  chassis  with  skirt round  the  lower  valve  section

on 500   I run  2 x  skanti   250 watt  wide  band   0.5 > 30 MHz    solid  state  amps  into  a  combiner , just  change the  ATU  to  operate  on HF

Both valves the same power out but different H voltage, TT21/6.3 TT22/12.6
Used in class C with high voltage,  efficiency 80%,  this rivals the class D es E. Maybe valves/tubes are the way to go especially if you have a good stock, also more rugged and less likely to be Zapped by mismatch etc
But watch out High Voltages and not recommended for Appliance Operators

Well  TT22  , lower power  version  I think,   but  still  well  sought   after  by the  valve-audio  gang  !

Its  costal   MF RT  ? top  band  ,  would  make a  good   160  linear  , big  push to 500  I would  say ?

from what  I have  seen , best way  for  500 is  solid  state , cheaper + safer

The valves are 4 x TT22 plus the osc es reg (B7G es B9A type) Aluminium water proof case, sturdy well built.
Ref on front is type NS6MS, cannot see any manufacturer name
This TX is in good condx with all Xtals. This TX could easily be shifted to 472 Khz
PSU is external.

Don't  know Mal ,   but  those  TT21's   if mullard are   worth  more than the  TX !

Talking about valve transmitters.
Does anyone recognize this MF VALVE transmitter, One OSC valve, one Stabilizer valve, 2 PA valves and 2 Modulator valves
ex Ship MF transmitter CW es MCW es  AM modulation
