went long ago , still have the 120 v psu
and a kit bag full of 1/2 paper tape
.. the hand book is out there with the
tuning fork strobe to set the speed ,

- It is interesting to see who is on the band but NOT a machine uttering
gibberish most of the time.
- One thing that has been neglected is MURRAY CODE being transmitted
like QRSS. It can be sent at various speeds and can be read directly off
the screen like DFCW. The Murray code can be learned like MORSE and when
used by the GPO years ago the speed to qualify was 15 wpm reading from an
undulator tape.
- Since it is a ONE level mode and with todays technology can be read
directly on a screen it would be a good alternative to DFCW

- 54 machines listening to each other and not a Real Operator about.
This is a good example of Appliance Operator activities. This is not
Real Amateur radio, there is no personal touch. Leave your machine
unattended and hope for the best when you return from a night out or
get up in the morning.
- Is the the future for
MF??
- No, the future is for CW! :-) If CW dies out then the whole amateur
radio dies out. It would not take to long then because CW never becomes
boring. It is fascinating to experience to listen and to instantly
"decode" the dashes and dots. It's like listening to music.
- However in digimodes, there always has to be a new mode, each few
months. You know that, i know that, we know that. So don't
worry!
- Anyway, there is no reason not to transmit on a ready to use antenna
while beeing outside the shack. This helps to move some interest from HF
to MF and to generate newcomers and so on. Also it is interesting to see
what is possible and to see who is on the band (or who's PC is on the
band if you prefer that).

- GE/GM LF/MF :-)
- Thanks to all the many MF stations who reported to my WSPR
beacon. There were 54 stations since yesterdays evening, attached
below.
- Just came back from the club meeting where i hold my
presentation of the VLF experiments done in 2010/2011. The OMs were
very interested and amazed. There was silence during that time i
told to them :-) Again big thanks to this group, who is a big part
of the Dreamers Band stuff :-)
- I didn't find the time to stop the TX here in the shack so i am
on air in WSPR since yesterdays evening :-) Guess i'll stop it
soon.
