Hi Stefan, Group.

Unfortunately now QRT on 600. The authorisation for VX9MRC on 504.1 kHz was only good for 2-5 November. Hopefully we will be on 472-479 kHz
in a few months or when when the Canadian govt lets us. I am looking
forward to that and hope to work you and the others on CW and other modes.

In the mean time, I hope to be QRV on 2200m again soon.

Joe (VO1NA),

When will you be QRV on 600m again? Do you think we could have a chance in CW? And what would be the best time at night? Not sure if i do understand that correctly, are you only allowed to transmit beacon messages?
We could give it a try.
However i cannot use my mechanical filter on 600m and so the RX performance will be somewhat lowered, maybe 2...3 dB. I would also have to use another PC but it is worth the effort. Could attempt to work all the other 600m stations too, making an active night :-)

Hello Joe and all,

No luck at DF0WD yesterday evening, but Finbar EI0CF reported reception of VX9MRC
in the DX cluster:

EI0CF-@ <http://www.qrz.com/db/EI0CF> 504.1VX9MRC <http://www.qrz.com/db/VX9MRC> Best 519 Deep Long QSB to NIL 0224 03 Nov Canada

Please keep us posted about further activities over here - I'd like to try again with a few different radios (also SDRs) using the club station's MF antenna.

All the best,
  Wolf DL4YHF .

As Graham remided me, the UK band is 501-4 so QSX will be
472.5 500 and 502 kHz, on the hour. The beacon was running last night
and seemed to be working properly. Apparently we may acknowledge the
other station but may not have a conventional amateur QSO.
