Last night, Dave A1AA alias
WD2XSH/17 reported reception of MF WSPR signals from Stefan and myself.
For me, this was the first-ever Atlantic crossing on MF, and you can
guess I'm happy with this result.
The MF signal is generated directly
using an programmable FE-5680A Rubidium standard, which is
controlled from a Basic program setting the WSPR frequency sequence via
RS-232. RF Power is generated by my 250 W Class-D LF PA, with the
matching circuit temporarily converted to MF. The antenna is a Marconi
at 8.5 m effective height. On the receive side, I have a FiFi-SDR set
to 485 kHz LO and WSPR 2.11 in IQ mode.
Thanks very much Dave for being
there and listening!
