Hi Christian That is old info (typical net). Now I only have a HB Xtal mixer VXO tube (valve) rig operational that outputs about 4watts into a 50 Ohm dummy load. It's OK for local QSOing. My plan is to completely rebuild (probably a transverter) for 630m to give me full QSY and CW break in and at least 100Watts into the antenna. I need to get a move on as I believe we will be QSYing in the new year. I think to attempt a cross band at my very QRP ERP would not be worth the effort so I am happy to just SWL 630m and report. However I must say it's really nice to hear CW on the band so regularly now a days. The only time 500 is active CW RAG chewing wise is Sunday mornings here in the UK. Look forward to getting on 630m and work all the DLs that I am hearing, I am not a good CW op very slow but it gives me a great kick to hear and work stations if they can put up with or understand my CW abilities, as the local stations do....... :-). Well Christian please keep the band warm for us (CW wise) until the new year because we have the fear that this great new activity will fizzle out before we get there ...hee. For your information my RX is a Kenwood TS690s with 500/250 filters ant is LW W/E up 13m x 38m lng. 73 es GL Pete M0FMT IO91UX
