Hi,

Richard VK7RO kindly compared the loop configurations as shown in my previous email via simulation in free space.

There was difference of approximately 3dB in gain between the loops but no significant change in the 3D field pattern.

The 3 m x 1m loop having less gain.

With loops of the same cross-sectional area, 2 m x 2 m and 4 m x 1 m area there was only 1 dB difference and little difference in 3D pattern.

Confirming comments made previously.
