The QSO was remarkable since I heard the thunder around the shack
while still transmitting.
Also thanks for info abt Jul - I only caught him one single time
in "QSO mode" (crossband MF/HF). The beacon is one of the
strongest signals here in northern DL (near Bielefeld) so it's a
pity they don't use it for two-way operations more often.

I worked IQ2MI/Jul on CW on 14/4/2012 at
2103 utc. he was 569 with me and gave me 559. I did not hear
him tonite on CW but he could be on QRSS and I do not use this
mode on 500 khz
