Transistors es chips are handy but Valves are better especially for the QRO merchants.
Most of todays operators could not handle valves, the voltages are too dang-er-ous

Hi all
Thanks to Andy G4JNT for publishing his PIC Opera keyer design and software with HEX code.
It works a treat.  It has been keying a test oscillator for a day now.
Tonight (about 18:00 local) I will put my 1 Watt RF output  500kc/s 6CL6 valve TX on into a LW 35ft up x 128ft top. Opera 600m QRG dial setting 500kc/s USB.
Don?t laugh it has made PA land on the limit in the past.
