TT22 PA VALVES visible - nice MF TRANSMITTER. Modulator valves removed
These transmitters glow when fired up. These are the real thing and run at 70% efficiency class C CW and AM modulated when necessary for MCW.
Some favour Transistor amplifiers at 89.7% efficiency but only have an antenna at 0.00325 % efficiency.
The valves are more rugged and tolerant of mismatch, antenna falling down etc
