Now that MF is shaping up with DL permits and
others. If you can find a DECCA sub unit 5501 it takes less than a couple of
hours to modify/ adapt for the 472 Khz band. In round figure values all that
is needed is a 22uH in series with 5 nF C. Adjust L for frequency of
interest of centre of band. A matching transformer is then required to match
approx 5 Ohms to 50 Ohms and LPF to the antenna.
I use an old tube TV LOPT and it works well with
good efficiency.
A couple of hours work and you can be on the new 473
band. A loaded inv L antenna and you are in business.
