Aerial is UK complimentary to a radio set ...as well as referring
to things associated with the sky -aerial photography , not pictures of
geometric Ae systems .. but pictures take from a elevated position ,
ladder, balloon or Aircraft (not from space though ? not sure on that)
Antenna , well the meaning is similar but the real meaning in the UK
is part of a living 'thing' ie part of its sensor array of a crab or
shell fish etc and across the pond , then is paired with radio , same
language different meaning
English is fun ! you can 'knock down a wall' and 'knock it back up
again' now where else could you do that !!
