Got to the bit about opening COM-1 and fell over .. but it did make the test.wav file
that  was  using   win-xp-pro   and   setting   win-me  compatibility mode

no actual  CW  decode though ?   but  must be  possible   these  days  ...

Jim,

I imagine if you recorded some QRSS, speeded the recording up by a
factor of 30 or 3,000,000 as appropriate, and played it back through CW
decoding software, that might work...

Bill deCarle, VE2IQ, did that years ago with his "Crunch" program. It's still on his web site: http://www.magma.ca/~ve2iq/bbs.htm .

Apropos of earlier discussions about operating systems and old computers, it might be interesting to get it to work these days...
