There was a discussion here a while ago about generating QRSS without having to use a PC. There is a version of my mini-beacon keyer module for QRSS, with dot lengths selectable of 1,2,3,5,10,20,30 or 100 seconds. The keyer is programmable over a 1200 baud RS232 interface using ASCii text commands, and teh message is stored in non-volatile memory. Speed and programmable pauses can vary during the message See http://www.g4jnt.com/BcnKeyer.htm for full details, and firmware download for DIY construction. Fully built and tested modules from http://www.g4jnt.com/The_JNT_Shop.htm#BcnKeyer (select the QRSS option) I'll have stocks of the standard ones at the Martlesham Microwave Roundtable on 28/29 this month Andy G4JNT |
