Yes there is a largish green download bar.
Just to the right of the middle of the of screen below a larger box that sort-of suggests its the one to click on.  But don't

And all Surrounded by confusing traps for the uninitiated.

When I link to that site I still get the same pop ups and sign in screen and asking me if I want to play bingo etc
Some others have indicated on here that they also get similar and even mentioned spyware.
seems odd. There is no GRREN bar

Clicking    the  Op  link  should  link to  this  (but this  will  change  with  new versions)

then click  on the  GREEN  Bar  for  download

the  smaller  icons  appear  to  be  linked to  other  services  and  do ask  for a  pass  word  etc ..  but  are not  needed  for the  download  #

Mal,

Just checked & it does NOT do that for me.

Is your internet security set up correctly to prevent "pop ups" & "malware" ??

Something wrong  there  Mal,

from this  site  >> http://rosmodem.wordpress.com/ <<   you  should  only  need  to  click  the  download  link  ,  the  next  one down  from the  ROS  download link  ..

Yes  it  seems  to  have  adverts  linked , but   that's  part of the   WEB funding  , for  free  downloads , don forget the  whole  show  is running  off  donations  and   free  web  space !

We can  place  a file  on the  yahoo  site  (membership  required  to  keep out hackers etc)  but  that can  lag  behind  the  latest issue , especially  if there  is a ,  ''compressed  revision schedule''

The  main  thing is , Op is   providing  a new  window  on  beacons  and  low  level  signal  recovery , not too  mention  Spread Spectrum data  processing ...  may be there  was  always   such  levels of LF / MF  activity , but  checking  the  PSK-Reporter maps  seems  to  be  showing  a steady increase ?

Gary
The biggest obsticle for Opera download is the sites where it is posted, they want username and password and that leads to all sorts of pop ups and topics that I am not interested in. All we need is a straight forward site that downloads the info needed.
Yahoo is the same with lots of unwanted material and sign in before the required topic is reached.
One of my computers says OE has removed the attachment which looks suspicious

Hi,

Others have asked the same question so I have uploaded a file (in the files section) to the Opera Group which explains how to set up a CW only transmitter.

hi

Does opera need SSB based transmitter? Or it somehow can work on raw CW equipment as well?

Thank you.
