R Mal,
The single carrier on/off was the major
design criteria, the usage levels
where never anticipated , hence no data server ,
but looks to of filled a gap
that no one knew existed ....big turnout last
night on 500 , with as many stations in
the US as EU , kl7uk is showing as
decoding vx9bdq , not sure which qth though
..Alaska ?
cpu wise , not 100 % on this as my old intel
P4 4G + 25 fox-com board (with broken on
board sound) runs round 25% , with
dual speed and the waterfall on , dropping
10/15% with all features off, This 3 ghz
i4 core sometimes shows 1% , mostly 0%
on the cpu load meter , but to be fair, there is a
lot of number crunching going on , so
there is a limit to the compatibility. the latest
versions of ROS just run on a P3 1.1
GHz
73 -G.

Subject: LF: Modes
LF
I must say apart from QRSS on LF the next most
popular mode seems to be Opera, which is convenient being a single carrier
system and can be used with the popular CW es QRS PA types CLASS C, D es E.
Still severe on the CPU though.
