Just installed the latest version of OPERA, and tested what it could
receive,
using the Perseus as Rx, and a measly inverted V cut for the 40
& 80m bands,
certainly much less than optimal for the 500 kHz band.
This is the log of the first 15 minutes :
23:42 500 PA0A de PA3ABK Op2 187 km +15 dB in Dordrecht JO21it
23:42 500 PA0A de W1VD Op2 5775 km -20 dB in Burlington CT

23:38 500 02LGL de PA3ABK Op2 +-1 dB in Dordrecht JO21it
<== 02LGL ?????
23:35 500 PA3ABK de PA0A Op2 187 km +5 dB in Lucaswolde
23:35 500 PU9GKA de PA0A Op2 -15 dB in Lucaswolde
23:32 500 G0NBD de PA3ABK Op2 553 km +3 dB in Dordrecht JO21it
23:32 500 G0NBD de PA0A Op2 620 km -2 dB in Lucaswolde
The emphasis are mine, as W1VD and W1TAG sport a respectable QRB.
However I am not sure if 02LGL is a valid call sign... does
anybody know ?
