Jan & Opera enthusiasts

Thanks to all for the reports!

Note that we had to adjust the callsigns as Opera doesn't allow / in the callsign. WE2XGR is actually WE2XGR/2 (FN31LS, Connecticut) and WE3XGR is WE2XGR/3 (FN42CH, Massachusetts). Sorry for any confusion.

John,

Surprisingly your sigs were decodeable here.
For receiving deep noise signals I'm not in the best location. Dense urban area, limited space, all sorts SMPS qrm ect.
Some of the sequences were close to the strong Italian beacon and were still
decoded.
Used V1.1.3, during the show . V1.1.5 was released which seemed to fix some SNR
issues in LF.
Antenna T double wire 30m hor (over the rooftop) 10m down.
RX TS-440 with enhanced input bandfilter in order to reduce BCST interference.

Until bedtime (around 0130UTC) heard in "morse" in the same window: WE3XGR/6.
Some sequences were "missed" but most were commercial to have a QSO providing I do have the means to produce a signal over the pound, which is negative. Could not "hear" your Opera sigs, but SpecLab produced good visible traces next/close toe the Italian beacon.
Also you some "doubles" same time with WE3XGR.
My list below is taken with 1,8kHz bandwidth, the first one (00.48utc) with 170Hz CW filter. But decided not to cheat to much on the noise figures.
Besides I could miss transmissions in the Op8 window.

WE2XGR/3 will be running Opera16 on USB dial frequency 500.000 kHz tonight starting around 2330 UTC. Hopefully this won't disturb any TA reception attempts over here. If so, let me know, and I'll QSY.

Reports are always welcome.
