Hello Uwe,

For the antenna current simply use a bridge rectifier (4x UF5404 for example) and an analog amperemeter! Multiply the achieved value by 1.11 ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formfaktor_(Elektrotechnik) )and you know the actual antenna current.

Hi Paul, hi Stefan, hi Eddie, hi Lubbos,

the stn will be on the air  today until 2230UTC and the coming days from 1030-2230UTC.

the scale at the DJ-PA is set to ¼ of the total pwr, i.e. abt 800W P to P.

I will not measure the aerial current, not at the cold and not at the hot terminal.

the voltage is too high. Two instruments so far have been destroyed when connected to the

ground terminal of the aerial coils.

Stefan, pse qsp it to Paul.

Hello Uwe and Stefan!
I had seen some strange signals on my Apollo grabber during last days , but I didn´t know, whose they was. Now it is clear, thanks for yours information!
Uwe, I am glad to see your signal. Very good!

Hi Uwe,

Very good news! You're starting well into the new year i see :-)
I just forwarded your mail to Paul and Mike who have been asking for my next test some times :-) I expect your signal is at least as strong as mine from the fixed location here in HD.

Now as you say it, i saw you on my DFCW-6000 / 424 uHz window, on 18th Jan, arround 12 UTC  on 8970.022 Hz and today on 8970.00 Hz arround 12 UTC :-)

Oh yes, and there are even better visible traces at OK2BVG!! :-)

What is your power and antenna current now?

Good luck!

Hi all,

sri for my being AWOL.
I have been busy on shorter waves making some HST tests.

since some days my VLF stn is on the air agn.
QRG: 8970.022Hz or 8970.000Hz
Time: afternoon and evening

the Todmorden Grabber shows the ZOA times.
the OK2BVG grabber shows the signs sometimes.

the sign on 8970.000Hz is 0.05% amplitude modulated with 1PPS.
pse see:
