Alex,

I see your grabber (and so the RX?) is off in the moment. Maybe it would be worth checking if there is some propagation right now, i.e. during our (about the same time) sunset. Could you run the RX the whole day?
At least now we have an indication when that a signal can be received and so how many dBs are missed to get better copy or copy of weaker stations.
I have to work a bit on the LF coil (applying the drive engine for automatic and remote controlled adjustment) but as soon as i see your grabber active i will start transmitting.

At least the propagation to 4X is fine tonite. http://qsl.net/4x1rf/lf/lfgrabber.htm  The situation in TF seems to be brilliant each day, except from some local QRM.
K index values are up to 3 though...
Not sure how about the QRN in 5X and its hard to move the signal beyond the desert...
I'm now analysing Alex' wav file too, trying to get an impression about the noise background...
