I have though cleared up some crud on the Alaska receiver. It appears we have a new bcst station on MW in town which has appeared and causing Xmod with my R75 stage 1 preamp running and I dont have the way to null it out remotely (yet) - I didnt notice it till I was actually listening to the audio for the first time in weeks. It may improve things a tadge.
