Playing with LOPTs / flyback transformers certainly is entertaining ... here is my "electronic plasma candle" (electrodes consist of molten glass, giving off some sodium for the yellow flame) :

Analogue television has disappeared from this area, so I have two CRT-based receivers which are no longer needed (and they never did work too well). Would it be worth trying to salvage the line output transformers before I take the equipment to the tip?
