LF: LOADING COIL

In the 50's slim narrow loading coils were considered more efficient than square coils. Field strength measurements confirmed this because this type of coil became part of the vertical radiator rather than a loading lump.

Worth considering when using a coil to load a vertical or inv L system on MF es LF

I suppose when thought about it makes sense,  the next progession would be a helical to make up the short fall in antenna length.
