Photos of (a) the 137kHz QRSS30 beacon and (b) the 137kHz transverter are on my blog page at http://g3xbm-qrp.blogspot.com/2011/09/lf-kit-improvements.html .  Subject to test results, both may be tidied up and boxed later. Otherwise it is back to the bench.

The PAs run almost cold, whereas my 50 ohm dummy load is very hot, suggesting very good efficiency from the IRF540 device in each case.

If you are seeing me that would be encouraging Chris as you are in the worst direction from here for the loop antenna.

OK Roger,
Thanks and see you put that now! Sorry.
I am pretty sure I am seeing you, but it's a bit 'iffy'. Will keep an eye on it and make some captures.

Martin/Stefan

Many thanks and good luck.

There is more ERP to come in a few weeks by increasing the PA supply volts and thickening the loop wire.

For now, small steps....

I'll go and get things running on receive now, Roger.

Who knows, this may be the day!

Having increased the ERP of my QRSS30 beacon to ~0.2mW (23W from the PA)
I'd
appreciate any reports please.  The beacon is ON now and I hope to leave
it
running  from 1130z Thursday - 0800z Friday.
