Dear LF Group,I took the opportunity of the second broadcast at 1200utc to measure the field strength of SAQ using a loop antenna with calibrating EMF injected from a signal generator. At IO91VR, the field strength was about 750uV/m. The distance from my QTH to Grimeton is about 1010km. From the ITU-R ground loss curves, the additional ground losses are about 5dB at this distance and frequency. Overall, the ERP of SAQ works out to 37kW. Cheers, Jim Moritz73 de M0BMU |
