Use the DX cluster which is more effective and has a
large audience. The aim should also be to engage in a QSO and not beacon and QSL
via email all the time

Subject: LF: Advanced notice of VLF
transmission tests
All VLF TXing stations,
Please will you give
advanced notice of intended transmission tests? There are several stations
across Europe (and further afield) trying to look for your signals now but it
helps to know when and where to look. I will publish information on the Sub-9kHz Amateur Radio news
page but I can't do this unless you tell me!
When signal levels
are low and narrow bandwidths plus accurate frequency calibration needed, the
possibilities of success (and more reports) will increase if people know about
tests in advance. I for one cannot dedicate a PC and antenna to 24/7 VLF
monitoring as I need to turn off other things to set up and look. I know G3ZJO
and others are in a similar situation.
Stefan, DK7FC, when are you
intending to do some tests from your fixed VLF station please? 17dB weaker may
be copyable here in 424uHz if continuous carrier. I am really looking forward
to this.
Thanks Chris G3XIZ for today's test and for the advanced
notice. Have a good holiday.
