Mal / Rob,

Thanks for comments; all noted.

I personally prefer CW but that is pretty much a 'here and now' mode and there just aren't enough LF operators at present to give a reasonable probablity of a QSO.
I used to call CQ on 136.5 kHz CW most Sundays but got tired of wasting my time.

At least with DFCW / QRSS one can send using 'auto repeat' and do something constructive in the shack whilst keeping an eye on the PC for replies.

With so few active at present I'm sure that if a station were audible on 137.7 kHz then it wouldn't cause too much of a problem to call them using CW and have a QSO in that mode, even on the 'non-CW' part of the band.
Comments welcome !

Rob - if you would like to arrange an LF sked some time, either CW or QRSS then let me know.

I've heard quite a few signals on LF over the last week or two that are audible but I'll be a good 10dB lower with them so long cw it is for now...

One day i will crop up on hand keyed cw but I'd have to learn it properly first.. one of things on the to do list but a signal is better than no signal!

At present anyone who might hear my measly 20mW ERP on 136 will find my hand sent cw a tad difficult ;-)

Mal - if i ever hear you i will endeavor to call you as you should be pretty strong but the result maybe not decipherable from my end and very weak..hi
Chris - you are a fairly strong signal, can hear you come and go from the speaker no problem.

I'm still working my TX here but will be active soon.

There are a few about on LF unfortunately using QRS when they are strong enough to work CW. If they were using CW I would work them but I do not want long drawn out QSO'S with local stations on QRS.
All those active at present on LF around EU are strong signals with me.
In the past CW was the norm and QRS was Lazy Mans CW,  now it is the reverse!!

LF,

Gary G4WGT is calling CQ using DFCW-3
He is 'O' copy in IO92UB

Is there anyone left on LF to answer him?
