Hi Stefan
I see you have a "trace" of some noise this morning, same here.
Pleased really because it confirms the levels I have been seeing.
Hence my thinking something was wrong when it was so quiet yesterday
AM.
I hope it quietens later but we have a band of lightning waiting to
cross the English Channel.

Hello VLF,
could some of you be so kind to re-send the two Eddie's
JPEG's
that I forgot to save?
Many thanks :-)

Re: ELF:
Zevs
Hi Marcus
Many thanks, I saw the dashes but could not imagine they
belonged to
ZEVS, the shift is greater than expected and didn't fit
in with the
message format I had seen described. Add to that some
short spikes from
50Hz around that time and the inexperienced ignore the
evidence.
Considering I am using a 'Stefan' (TM) un-modded probe
(I was looking
at the level of attenuation of the filter last night) it
is truly
amazing.

Hi Eddie,
this is a very nice observation! Before the
constant
carrier started at 9:30, there was
a message consisting of several
five-minute dashes between 82 and 83 Hz, well
visible on your grabber.
Best 73,
Markus

Today, early morning was so quiet on VLF that I
thought that my ELF
SpecLab RX I was running yesterday was playing
up, I started a second
RX with a faster sample rate, which is on my
Grabber now.
Once both were set up I took a look for ZEVS.
See zevs1.jpg from the
first RX. Maybe the signal came up in strength
at 09.30 for 1 Hour the
frequency was spot on 82Hz, the readout of the
cross hairs can be
slightly above or below not correct.
Checking the second RX see zevs2.jpg it looks
more like it switched on
at 09.30 for 1 hour precisely, this time I
settled the cross hairs at
the higher readout.

Disclaimer. This is NOT Amateur Radio, a
straight line on the exact
frequency is no proof that the carrier belongs
to ZEVS ....blah blah
