Ok Alan

Well these little box's seem to be on the increase , a little more googling shows some intended development in the LF and VHF bands, the price is tempting , slightly more tempting than the other devices on the market .. but from what I can 'see , the insides are very much the same and all have these octave band filtrs , but notably the new improved PA web-sdr was showing all from 5 khz > 20 MHz ..

useful would be the exciter version . as together that would replace about 1 cubic yard of radio-history in the shack .. the cubic foot of psu's and power amp's may be around a little longer hi

Tnx -G..

Hi Graham the usual problem with all these and the IC-1000, WinRadio etc is
that they use a transformer to up the input Z to a level that is easier to
make octave filters at....... usually about 200ohms. The transformers roll
off below about 200kHz.

Just noticed some reference to the paper radio .. seems to use a
sound card as the interface , but looks like offering a wide tune range
?

only viewing via google translate but stated low end is 150 khz ,
is this a filter of just the end of the LW ?

G.
