Sorry about this post folks. Google throws up some wonderful facts.
It's a little quite today too.
11.7Hz is the natural normal beat frequency of the hairs up your
nose, providing you do not ingest morphine, in which case they slow
down.
Daniele do you have a very hairy nose?

Hi Daniele
I have tried 3 computer fans outside near the E-Probe 2 old,1 new
and see no interference, not conclusive of course because they may
not have Analog Devices controllers.

I have found that a PWM Fan Controller (like the ADM1031
from Analog Devices) can use 11.7 Hz as the PWM frequency
driving the fan. I suspect that in my case the 11.7 Hz
signal come from inside my PC.

Hi Eddie,
I didn't realize you are the author of the web page
that I mentioned in my message below :-)
My compliments also for the very nice grabber page.

Re: ELF: ZEVS transmitting from 0800UTC
Hi Daniele / Chris et al
I will take a good look at the ZEVS breakfast code
in moment, I have a burst of noise covering the
start bit.
OK on the 11.7Hz Daniele, I will take a close look
there too to try and establish if it is a received
signal. These cariers are too stable to be from
local devices I think.

Hello Chris,
I have no doubt that that 11.7Hz-spaced
lines on my SpecLab screen have a local
origin. I am just curious about their source.
Following web page http://g3zjo-radio.blog.co.uk/ mentions
11.7Hz as one of ELF carriers visibile at the
author's location ( "At my urban location
there are several carriers visible,
5.9Hz,8.8Hz,11.7Hz,16Hz,
23Hz and 32Hz") but it does not tell
anything about the possible origin.

ELF: ZEVS transmitting from 0800UTC
Hi all - ZEVS transmitting on schedule from
0800 UTC this morning.
Eddie, Daniele - I don't have an 80Hz
carrier here at IO92vf. I'll look out for
the others.

Sorry Daniele no
idea 1.7Hz and multiples.
Both Stefan and I have an 80Hz constant
carrier, I am also pretty sure about 16Hz
32Hz and 64Hz being received signals.
Perhaps the growing band of listeners can
confirm these as also received elsewhere.

I see a constant trace at 82Hz,
but it appears to be 7 x 11.7Hz, as
I see other similar traces at 6 x
11.7Hz (70.28Hz) and 8 x 11.7Hz
(93.72Hz), etc. Does anyone know
about a possible origin of these
11.7Hz-spaced carriers (or
harmonics)?
