The consensus of opinion is as I said SCRAPE the enamel off then solder,
even the self fluxing type except you have a solder pot or vy large hot
iron.
No fumes here I prefer the scrape method, but would suggest perhaps the
Fumes have got to yourself and stopped all progress on VLF/LF/MF.
Your signals have yet to be heard at my QTH. The met office has nothing to
fear from you. Pie in the sky they said!!
