Hi Mike and LF

Thanks for the report. Yes very poor isn't it. It's a circuit I copied out of the RSGB LF Experimenter's Handbook. Very disappointing. It uses xtal frequency difference. It's a pity because on paper it looks like a good idea. All bits are high stab. as well!

I am running very QRP about a couple of Watts into a 600mm dia loading coil and variometer into a inv "L" Up 12m abt 35m lng far end up 4m (temporary), 80m per leg "H" ground system.

Today after another frustrating period doing various mods I have come to the conclusion that this design will never work properly. Another page to tear out of the book!

Audible 16miles away great!

I have an 8.8 meg rock to divide by 64 which may give better results. This should be on tomorrow some time.

I would like to thank Chris G4AYT for his invaluable feed back during this excersise.

Subject: LF: M0FMT?

Big audible signal transmiting 'FMT' on 137.460kHz using QRSS10 and
rather wobbly frequency. Pic attached showing signal with and without
my 10dB attenuator in circuit.
